General questions
What areas do you serve?
I serve homeowners throughout the Portland metro area, including Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Clackamas, Gresham, Oregon City, West Linn, and surrounding areas.
How do your estimates work?
For projects over $1,500, I charge a $175 estimate fee. This allows me to take the time to understand your project, review the details, and prepare an accurate estimate.
Your estimate includes one complimentary revision. Additional revisions are $20 each.
If you hire me for your project, all estimate and revision fees you’ve paid will be fully credited toward the cost of your project.
Do you work with rental properties and property managers?
Yes. I work with homeowners, landlords, real estate professionals, and property managers on repairs, maintenance, updates, and remodeling projects.
Kitchen Remodeling
How long does a kitchen remodel usually take?
Most kitchen remodels take approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on the size and scope of the project. Cabinets, countertops, plumbing, electrical work, material availability, and other project details can affect the timeline.
Before work begins, I’ll go over the expected schedule with you so you know what to expect.
Can I stay in my home during a kitchen remodel?
In many cases, yes. I do my best to keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while minimizing disruption to the rest of your home.
Do you do full and partial kitchen remodels?
Yes. I can help with anything from a full kitchen remodel to smaller upgrades such as cabinets, countertops, backsplash tile, flooring, trim, painting, and other improvements.
Bathroom Remodeling
How long does a bathroom remodel usually take?
Most bathroom remodels take approximately 2–5 weeks, depending on the scope of work. Tile, plumbing changes, electrical work, custom materials, and layout changes can affect the timeline.
Can you remodel just part of my bathroom?
Absolutely. You don’t have to remodel the entire bathroom. I can help with individual upgrades such as showers, vanities, flooring, tile, lighting, trim, and painting.
Can you help me choose materials and finishes?
Yes. I can help you think through practical options for materials, colors, finishes, and layout based on your style, budget, and how you use the space.
What about plumbing and electrical work?
When a project requires plumbing or electrical work, I coordinate with licensed professionals as needed so those portions of the project are handled properly.
Interior Painting
How long does interior painting usually take?
Most interior painting projects take approximately 1–3 days, depending on the size of the space, the amount of preparation needed, and the number of coats. Larger or whole-home painting projects may take longer.
Do you protect my floors and furniture while painting?
Yes. I take care to protect your home before painting begins. Floors, furniture, fixtures, trim, windows, cabinets, and other surfaces are covered or masked as needed.
What type of paint do you use?
I use quality paints from trusted brands such as Miller Paint, Sherwin-Williams, and Benjamin Moore. If you have a specific brand or product you prefer, I’m happy to discuss it with you.
Handyman & Small Projects
What types of handyman work do you do?
I handle a variety of interior repairs and smaller home improvement projects, including drywall repair, door and trim repair, flooring repairs, tile repair, painting touch-ups, furniture assembly, and small carpentry projects.
Is there a minimum charge for handyman work?
Yes. I typically have a one-hour minimum for handyman services. I’ll discuss the pricing with you before starting the work so there are no surprises.
Do you offer same-day handyman service?
Same-day or next-day service may be available depending on my schedule and the type of work you need. Contact me with the details of your project, and I’ll let you know my availability.
